Privacy Policy

Paper Animation is designed to keep your creative files private. You do not need an account, and the photos you edit are processed locally in your browser. We do use third-party analytics and advertising services to understand site performance and support the free tool, as described below.

Your images and projects

Images selected in the paper animation editor or image segmenter are not uploaded to a Paper Animation server. Segmentation, styling, preview, and export happen on your device. We do not provide cloud project storage.

Saved projects, imported cutouts, document images, and audio are stored in this browser using IndexedDB. They are available on this device, not in another browser or on another device. Clearing browser data removes them. The project library lets you remove projects and clean older files that are no longer used by a saved project.

Shared style links contain editing settings and, for text tools, the words you choose to share. They do not contain your imported photos, scans, or audio files. Only copy or publish a style link when you want to share those settings and words.

Information Paper Animation does not request

• No account name, profile, or password
• No payment information for use of the free editor
• No upload of your source images to our server

Analytics and advertising

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand aggregate usage and improve the interface, and Google AdSense may be used to deliver and measure advertising. These providers may process device, browser, interaction, approximate location, cookie, or similar identifiers under their own policies. Session replay is disabled on creative tool pages. Advertising scripts may load on these pages for clearly labelled ad sections below the editing controls. The saved project library does not load advertising. Third-party advertising code runs on the page and is governed by the provider policies linked above. Lightweight event hooks record actions such as tool opens and successful exports; they exclude creative text, file contents, filenames, and shared-link query strings. Recent diagnostic events may be kept in this tab's session storage. Optional aggregate analytics can be connected separately by the site operator.

Your choices

Browser privacy controls, content blockers, and provider ad settings may limit cookies or similar technologies. The site checks for ad blocking and asks visitors to allow ads before continuing. Editing and file processing take place locally after this access check; allowing ads does not upload your creative files to a Paper Animation server.

Children’s privacy

Paper Animation does not knowingly request personal information from children. Third-party services are governed by their own privacy terms and age requirements.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the app works, we will update this page. Because we do not collect contact details, please check this page for the latest version.
